This Just in from Native America Calling!

December 1, 2008

It’s a battle for the last turkey leg, and Native America Calling needs your help:

Greetings!

After you’ve had enough of the Thanksgiving Day Gobble Gobble…it’s time to stuff yourself again with good old fashioned Native Family Fun!

On December 12, 2008 from 1-2 p.m. Eastern Time, Native America Calling will broadcast the world’s only 2nd Annual Leftover Turkey Leg Showdown.

Last year the Koahnic Broadcast Corporation Family faced off with the Old Elk Family of Crow Agency, Montana on air. After a battle to the bone, the Koahnic family walked away with a turkey leg and the title of champions. This year the defending champions will return to take on fresh meat.

Native America Calling 2nd Annual Turkey Leg ShowdownTune in, as two families rack up points by guessing the most popular answers to survey questions.

THAT’S WHERE YOU COME IN! WE NEED YOUR HELP!

A survey on the fun side of Native life is being circulated throughout the country as you read this! We’ll tally up the answers to challenge the two families on the day of the show. So, please take a moment to fill out our survey attached to this message, answering as many as you can.

THE DEADLINE FOR SURVEY SUBMISSIONS IS MIDNIGHT ALASKA TIME DECEMBER 8, 2008

Also, on the day of the show we are expecting your calls! The two families will be asking all of their long lost cousins [anyone who calls our toll-free number 1-800-99-NATIVE, that’s also 1-800-996-2848] to call in and take a turn on their behalf.

You can also listen to last year’s showdown on NAC’s archives on our website under the listing: Friday, November 23, 2007 – Leftover Turkey Leg Showdown

To fill out the survey, go to the Native America Calling MySpace page here, or you can download a copy of the survey here. And be sure to tune in on December 12th!
